About Me |
Hey! I'm Veronica and I'm the woman behind the camera. Currently, I go to Zeeland East High School. In Fall 2018 I will begin my first semester at Kendall College of Art and Design; Ferris State University, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I've loved to take photos of anything and everything since I was a little kid. My talent has grown and I now see myself making a career out of photography.
I'm based out of the Zeeland/Holland area but I'm willing to travel to Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and surrounding areas that are an hour away from where I live. In the summer, I'll have more flexibility and will be traveling to Northern Michigan (anywhere from Muskegon to Traverse City), St. Louis, and NYC.
I hope to pursue my BFA in photography, but might settle for my AFA depending on how much I've learned. Recently I became a Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Gold Key, Silver Key, and Honorable Mention recipient. My Gold Key-winning piece, "Lightbulb at Felt" was on public display at one of KCAD's galleries from Feb 6-March 3. It was also chosen as top 12 in Bill Huizenga's Congressional District (2nd District in the State of Michigan) and is displayed at the Tri-Cities Museum in Grand Haven until June 3. I also have a piece, "Too Much Yelling" which was selected in the juried art competition "Début" which was on display from March 8-April 28 at the Holland Area Arts Council.
In addition to photography, I'm a model, both behind the camera and on the runway. I also like to hike, adventure, coffee shop hop, play my violin, and relax at home listening to vinyl or watching one of my favorite shows. I participate in Zeeland High School Orchestra and I'm a member of the National Art Honor Society. I also have a job and I nanny.
